Announcing a new version of TASH, an Ada binding to Tcl/Tk.
Go to <http://www.adatcl.com/> for the full story. Here is
a peek at the release notes for this version:
- TASH version 8.3.2a supports Tcl/Tk version 8.3.2 and was compiled
with GNAT 3.12p. See the Scriptics Tcl/Tk site
<http://dev.scriptics.com/software/8.3.html> for information on
new features Tcl/Tk 8.3.2.
- This is the first full release of the TASH thick binding to Tcl.
For more information on this new binding, see Introduction to TASH
<http://www.adatcl.com/tash.htm>. If you have been using the
preliminary thick binding, note that TASH object types string,
integer and float were removed in favor of using Ada string,
generic integer and float types.
- As soon as I get it built, the tash832a.zip file will contain
pre-compiled Windows binary libraries for Tcl and Tk (libtcl82.a
and libtk82.a) as well as the TASH C interfaces (tclmacro.o and
tkmacro.o).
- Removed the lib directory which was used as a GNAT Ada library in
order to simplify the build procedures. You can still build a GNAT
library yourself by copying the .ali, .ads, and .o files to a
separate directory.
Also, if you are attending SIGAda 2000, be sure to sign up for my
TASH tutorial Monday morning. For more info, see
<http://www.acm.org/sigs/sigada/conf/sigada2000/>.
