I hope this isn't "urban legend" but I read (wish I still had it) a
humorous e-mail from a guy who claimed to have attended a presentation in
which a Microsoft flake was bragging about how Unix types can now run
their Korn shell scripts without modification on Windoze. Someone stood
up and tried to point out some incompatibilities between true Korn shell
and Microsoft's impost^H^H^H^H^H^Hemulation. The Microsoft guy insisted
it was 100% compatible. The two argued for a while until someone else
stood up and said to the Microsoft weenie, "Sir, it may interest you to
know that the gentleman you've been arguing with is the inventor of the
Korn shell."
