Hello, Everyone,
The Mar 97 Edition of the Walnut Creek Ada CDROM is out now. This is a
Special Edition for the ACM Computing Week and the DoD Software
Technology Conference, and it is being used as part of SIGAda's
promotion campaign (SIGAda is making it available at a reduced price) at
a number of conferences (including Object World in Boston and the
Software Engineering Process Group conference in San Jose). Also, for
those attending the DoD Software Technology Conference this year, the
AJPO is providing copies of this CDROM for the attendees. If you are
not attending one of these conferences (or the other conferences targetted
by SIGAda - see the SIGAda Web pages for details), you can get the CDROM
directly from Walnut Creek (800/786-9907).
This CDROM is a copy of most of the PAL as of the end of Jan 97.
Included is the Ada Advocacy Package, GNAT 3.07 and 3.09, an update to
EZ2LOAD, an update to ASIS, several new courses, and a variety of other
material. Overall, several thousand files have been added or updated
since the Dec 96 Ada CDROM (which was given out at the Tri-Ada 96
conference).
For those of you who are interested, my next message is an introduction
to this CDROM in the form of a tour. You can print out the tour and then
step through it with the CDROM ... it's an easy way to quickly learn how
to the use the CDROM's user interfaces and locate information and software
of interest.
Rick
