ABSTRACT:
The recent standardization of Ada including many OOP features has raised
many questions both in the traditional Ada community as well as the OOP
community. Unfortunately these questions have, all too often, simply been
more fuel for the "Language Wars" which seem to rage whenever a new
language is introduced, or an older one is enhanced.

Ada does, indeed, provide many new, useful constructs which will aid in its
usage within the OOP paradigm; and, as would be expected, continues to
provide features which are not part of OOP at all.

OOP itself is continuing to evolve; new notation standards, improved tools,
better understanding of the role of Analysis, Design and Implementation
-all have contributed to a huge growth in the application of OOP techniques.

It is reasonable, then, in light of OOP's and Ada's overlapping targets to
ask where is this going? What forms of OOP and/or Ada will we be seeing
soon? And what will be the form of OOP/Ada computing in the future?

Keywords:
Object Oriented Programming (Paradigm) OOP
Ada, Ada 95, Ada 83
Analysis
Design
Implementation
Object Notation
Object Modeling
Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
