Current Annotation Research and Future Directions

A.J. Brush, Jonathan Grudin, Christine Neuwirth

Building annotation systems and studying the use of annotations has a
long and respected research history that covers a wide range of issues
from technical challenges to social questions. This Interest Group will
provide a place for researchers involved (or interested) in research
involving annotations to discuss current work, identify shared areas of
interest, and outline directions for future research. The discussion
will be exploratory, with details determined at the time based on
attendance and attendee's interests.

The Interest Group will meet at CHI 2001 in Seattle on Wednesday, April
4, 16:30-18:00. Please check the SIG Board near registration when you
arrive at the conference for the room location. Note: Unlike formal
SIGS, this informal SIG will not appear in the printed Final Program, so
make note of the time. For further information or suggestions contact us
