SYMPOSIUM ANNOUNCEMENT
Third Annual
Usability Engineering Symposium (UE3)
Monday, June 22, 1998
Grand Hyatt, Washington, DC
Info: http://zing.ncsl.nist.gov/ue3
Registration Info: http://www.upassoc.org
This year the National Institute of Standards and Technology joins with
the Usability Professionals' Association to sponsor Government Day/UE3
immediately preceding the annual UPA Conference.
Overview:
Government Day is a continuation of the usability engineering symposia
held at NIST in 1996 and 1997. The purpose of the meetings continues to
be incorporating usability engineering techniques into the government
system design and development process.
Participants who will benefit most from Government Day are those
working in or with government. Based on feedback from past meetings
we are offering three hands-on tutorials and a general discussion
session for 1998. The tutorial sessions are:
- Making the Case for Usability Engineering to Management: Total Cost
of Ownership & Cost/Benefit Analysis
- What to Measure: Making Choices About Usability Metrics
- Using the RFP to Get the Usability You Need
As a special bonus, Government Day attendees will receive a $75 discount
to the UPA Conference. Whether you are a novice or an expert on usability,
don't miss this opportunity to learn about increasing productivity and
saving costs.
Further information and registration details can be obtained from the
NIST Government Day web site at http://zing.ncsl.nist.gov/ue3 and the
UPA conference site at http://www.upassoc.org. Questions specifically
