   vewrsion of the langauage .... where pointers and arrays are clearly
   separated ,, where you get a warning when  .... you assign a floating
   point to a long integer ...

   NW: ....One may ... wonder why none has made ... a safe subset of C++ ...
   such attempt are bound to fail .. like the attempts to strengthen a house
   built on sand ...

   CP: ... what about Java?
