Here is a brief discription:
CMP Software Test Engineer This position requires an
engineer with a Bachelors degree in Electrical
Engineering or Computer Science and at least two years of work experience
developing and/or testing software for embedded computer systems. knowledge
of Ada, or C, plus knowledge of at least one microprocessor assembly
language. Familiarity with hardware from a programmers model point of view is
required.
The job at hand is testing embedded flight software for an avionics computer,
either operating systems software or built-in-test software on the central
processing module (CPM). Tested in of the commercial aviation industry
requirements (i.e.,DO-178B). The task will
require reading and
understanding the requirements in section of the Software Requirements
Document (SRD), then identifying test cases to verify that the requirements
been implemented correctly. After all requirements have been tested, the
tests will be evaluated to determine the level of structural coverage
achieved.
