Hi All,

If I remember correctly the submissions came in at the last minute in previous years. I agree that there should not need to be an extension yet. Given the uncertainty it is hard for us to know how things will change anyway so we may as well wait for the deadline to pass.

Hi Cigdem,

Thanks, we are doing fine locked down here in Austria. May get a bit of a reprieve next week as some shops will be allowed to open.

I believe the call will remain the same, we have not yet had any submissions yet, but deadline is 30 April. We have a meeting scheduled for the 20th.

Does anyone else on the steering committee see any need for changes?

Please let us know in the next few days.

Hello Bev,

I hope you are doing well, and not too affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

I am preparing the April newsletter and I was wondering if there were any updates to the call for expression for 2021 due to Covid-19?

Should I publish it as it was published in March?

Kind regards,

Hi Cigdem,

The steering committee has been working hard on creating the Call for womENcourage 2021, the text and other docs can be found here<>. We would like for this to be added to the March 2020 newsletter, added to the ACM W Europe website, and advertised on Social Media. We expect the final versions to be ready on Friday 28 February. Can you please let us know with whom we should work to get this completed?

Please note that the folder has multiple documents.
