A Message from BayCHI Design Research Birds of a Feather,

BayCHI is trying new ways to make events available to the the BayCHI community. To that end, BayCHI is partnering with Reduct to share and facilitate conversation around Christian Rohrer’s recent talk, “Qualitative Validity: How Usability Metrics from the PURE Method Connects Scorecards to Qualitative Insights and UX Principles.”

Reduct (https://reduct.video/) is a platform that facilitates storytelling by making it just as easy to work with video and audio data as it is to work with text, whether that’s for your work as a UX researcher or for sharing talks at events/conferences. To access Christian’s talk in Reduct, please create an account here
https://app.reduct.video/login?invite_token=8805102d5df842e88800af587f0c0985

Once you create a Reduct account, you'll see: welcome/demo videos to help you navigate Reduct, and the recording of Christian's talk. You'll be able to view a full video and transcript of Christian's talk. If you'd like to explore Christian's talk further with Reduct, you can highlight key points from the presentation to create video clips and build video reels. Please note:

You currently cannot have conversations with others about the presentation inside of Reduct; however, you can create video clips and build video reels to share with others outside of Reduct (e.g., on social media, over email/Slack, etc.)
Creation of highlights, clips, and reels from this event is a public space inside Reduct; others will be able to see your creations, and please be mindful not to delete the creations of others.

If you have feedback for the Reduct team, you can send that in this short survey:

For questions regarding the BayCHI BOF itself or partnership with Reduct, please send e-mail to Julie or myself via our email addresses shown below.

Best wishes,
