Dear All,

This is a call for participation to:

TEI 2020 - Studio: * SWATCH-BITS: Prototyping E-textiles with Modular Swatches *
https://cil.csit.carleton.ca/swatch-bits/

Fourteenth International Conference on *Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction,*
*Sydney, Australia* 9-12 February 2020

---------------------------------
CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

*This one-day hands-on-studio* at TEI2020 is open to anyone who wishes to shape the future of soft interfaces and designing wearables.

The goal of this studio is to present and test Swatch-bits that are sensing and actuating e-textile connectable swatches, moving rapidly from -and between- ideation to prototyping of interactive soft objects, toys and wearable garments.
In this studio, participants will be invited to bring their own swatches and/or prototypes, will learn how to create modular e-textile swatch-bits, and then we will spend the afternoon making prototypes and will engage in hands-on activities with sensing and actuating bits. The goal of the studio is to share e-textile prototyping techniques, and to discuss the potential for modular swatches to be incorporated into e-textile prototyping processes.
---------------------------------
What is required?
Nothing!
But... we invite you to bring your own e-textile swatches and/or prototypes to share with the group, if you have some.

Interested?
