The conference focuses on the use of computers to support cooperative
work. This encompases and moves beyond groupware to consider work on
systems development and design, the theory and practice of CSCW, the
installation and use of CSCW systems, the application of novel
technologies and the relation between the social and the technical.
Delegates from academia, industry, consulting and government and from
all countries are welcomed. With the exploding interest in networked
computers and the Internet, the Conference will be an important forum
for the presentation and discussion of the state of the art and future
visions for Computer Supported Cooperative Work and groupware.
