To All CHI 2001 Attendees and Participants:
Please be assured that the earthquake that struck Seattle, Washington
caused little damage to the downtown business district where CHI 2001
will take place. The Washington State Convention & Trade Center,
located in the heart of the city, suffered only minor cosmetic damage;
area hotels reported the same. This is the first major quake to affect
the region since 1965.

CHI 2001's schedule of 31 March - 5 April will not be affected by the
earthquake, and will continue as planned.

We look forward to seeing everyone at CHI 2001.

Andrew Sears & Julie Jacko
CHI 2001 Conference Co-Chairs
