Call for Registration and Hotel Reservations

                                 UIST 2005

                     Eighteenth Annual ACM Symposium on
                   User Interface Software and Technology
                           Seattle, Washington
                           October 23-26, 2005

                          http://www.acm.org/uist

UIST is the premier forum for innovations in the software and technology of human-computer interfaces. Sponsored by ACM's special interest groups on computer-human interaction (SIGCHI) and computer graphics (SIGGRAPH), UIST brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse areas that include traditional graphical & web user interfaces, tangible & ubiquitous computing, virtual & augmented reality, multimedia, new input & output devices, and CSCW.

The intimate size, the single track, and comfortable surroundings make this symposium an ideal opportunity to exchange research results and implementation experiences. In addition, the natural beauty of the Seattle area, our conference reception at the Sci Fi Museum (http://www.sfhomeworld.org/), and our wonderful keynote and breakout session speakers make for a conference experience you will not want to miss.

Early registration is now over, but you can register by October 10, 2005 for late discounted rates.

On-line registration is available at:

                http://www.acm.org/uist/registration.html

Hotel reservations (please note Saturday night, Oct. 22nd, is already booked completely) can be made at:

http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/StarGroupsWeb/booking/reservation?id=0508168962&key=5BBBA

or Call the Westin Reservations Department at (206) 728-1000 and don't forget to mention UIST 2005.

The keynote presentation, "Personal Computing in the 21st Century", will be given by Gary Starkweather. The high quality Technical Program is listed below.

I hope you can join us in Seattle!
