International workshop call for papers:
USER INVOLVEMENT AND REPRESENTATION IN E-GOVERNMENT PROJECTS

Main themes:
- High-level strategies for user involvement in e-Government projects
- User and stakeholder representation
- Methods for user-centred e-Government development

A full day workshop on user involvement and representation in e-Government development projects will be arranged as part of the international conference on human-computer interaction, NordiCHI 2006 (http://nordichi.net.dynamicweb.dk/). The workshop participants' presentations and subsequent discussions should be aimed at generating new knowledge on how to achieve successful user-centred development in e-Government projects.

Workshop participants are invited to submit position papers on research findings and case experiences from e-Government development projects, addressing one or more of the main themes of the workshop.

Position papers may be up to six pages long and should be formatted according to the following: Information for LNCS Authors, Proceedings and Other Multiauthor Volumes (www.springer.com/east/home/computer/lncs?SGWID=5-164-2-72376-0&referer=www.springeronline.com&referer=www.springeronline.com). Position papers should preferably be submitted as .rtf or .doc files. All submitted papers will be reviewed by a program committee. It is expected that at least one of the authors of each accepted position paper registers for the workshop.

Accepted position papers will be published in a publicly available ISBN-registered proceeding. All workshop participants will receive a printed copy of the report. The report will also be made publicly available on the workshop website.

The target audience for the workshop includes both researchers and practitioners. It is recommended that the participants have some background knowledge of the HCI field.

The workshop will include up to 20 persons. If necessary, participants will be selected based on their papers' potential (diversity, originality and precision) to contribute to increased experience and understanding of the workshop main themes.
