Call for Tutorials and Workshops @ ISWC 2008 (http://www.iswc.net):

We invite you to submit a Tutorial or Workshop proposal and share your
wearable-related knowledge with other ISWC conference attendees through this
venue. Tutorials and workshops are half-day events. We would like to point
out that this year we will include the extended abstract of your tutorial or
workshop (not of the papers in the workshop) in the IEEE conference
proceedings.

A tutorial is an intensive course on a special topic and is intended to
enhance the skills and broaden the perspective of their attendees. They
should be designed to introduce a rigorous framework for learning a new area
or to provide advanced technical training in an area.

Workshops differ from tutorials in that they may include a wider range of
activities, such as working position groups, hands-on experiences with
hardware/software provided, or standards efforts.

Proposals will be peer-reviewed. A two-page tutorial or workshop proposal
should include a clear description of the topic area, objectives, and the
intended audience (experience level and prerequisites). Tutorial proposals
should also include a 200-word abstract, a topical outline of the content,
and a summary of the qualifications of the instructor(s). Be sure to include
the contact name, affiliation, address, telephone number, electronic mail
address, and associated URL for each instructor or organizer.

Please submit proposals to the Workshop and Tutorial Chairs, Jie Yang and
Kristof Van Laerhoven, by email to kristof at mis.tu-darmstadt.de or
jie.yang at cs.cmu.edu (note the new email addresses!) no later than *June
22, 2008* (extended).

Call for Panel Proposals @ ISWC 2008 (http://www.iswc.net):
We invite you to submit a Panel Proposal to address the topics related to
the future of wearable computing, main challenges in advancing this research
and technical area, as well as reflections on accomplishments, failures and
lessons learned. A one-page panel proposal should include a clear
description of the content of your panel and any requirements you would need
to set it up. Be sure to include the contact name, affiliation, address,
telephone number, e-mail address,
and associated URL if available. The names of prospective panel participants
should also be included.

Please submit your proposal for a panel to Asim Smailagic (asim at
cs.cmu.edu) no later than *July 8, 2008*.
