UMAP is the premier international conference for researchers and 
practitioners working on systems that adapt to their individual users, 
or to groups of users, and collect and represent information about users 
for this purpose. It is organized under the auspices of User Modeling Inc.

The conference spans a wide scope of topics related to user modeling and 
personalization, including tailoring of search results, recommending 
products, Web usage mining and collaborative filtering.

UMAP 2011 will be held at the Centre Cultural la Mercè in the city of 
Girona, Spain.

MAIN CONFERENCE

The conference main program runs from Tuesday 12 July until Thursday 14 
July. Apart from the presentation of accepted research and industry 
papers and posters, there is an Industry Panel on Wednesday.

The social program, including a guided visit to the Old Town of Girona 
and a Conference Banquet, provides many opportunities for networking and 
for getting involved with the UMAP community.
