The 25th British Conference on Human-Computer Interaction: Health, Wealth and Happiness
Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
4-8 July 2011

The annual BCS Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI2011) will be held at Northumbria University from 4-8 July 2011. This conference is hosted by the PaCT Lab at Northumbria University in co-operation with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

This is a leading conference in the field of Human Computer Interaction, covering the design, evaluation and application of techniques and approaches for interacting with devices and services. Building on the success of the conference in the last 24 years, the conference focus for the 25th anniversary is Health, Wealth & Happiness. We would like to celebrate how the design, development and use of technologies has, and will continue to enhance overall wellbeing. The conference theme is particularly broad and is designed to bring together a wide range of academia, researchers and professional organisations involved in the industry from the UK and internationally.

Esteemed Keynote speakers are Dr Gregory Abowd, Professor in the School of Interactive Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology and Director of the Health Service Institute (HSI) and Dr Abigail Sellen, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research Cambridge and Co-Manager of Socio-Digital Systems (SDS).

We welcome submissions from all areas of HCI research. Accepted papers will be published by BCS in the annual conference proceedings, freely available online in BCS Electronic Workshops in Computing (eWiC) and will also be included in the ACM digital library. For suggested topics please visit the conference website.
