The following is the welcome message for the ACM SIGCHI
open discussion list [log in to unmask]
It is being sent to the list it will replace:
        [log in to unmask]
and also to the new list:
        [log in to unmask]
which was initialized with the old list contents.
Soon, mail sent to [log in to unmask]
will be forwarded to the new list at acm.org.
Please start using the new list immediately.

It you receive two copies of this, then you are probably set up correctly.
If you do not receive the copy send to chi-announcements,
then you should subscribe yourself by sending mail to the ACM listserv:
        [log in to unmask]
with the body of your message (not the Subject: line, which is ignored):
        subscribe chi-announcements Your Name
To get off this or any other ACM SIGCHI list,
send the following command to the ACM listserv:
        signoff chi-announcements

Other ACM SIGCHI lists will be moving shortly.
Stay tuned to SIGCHI News at the SIGCHI Home Page:

Begin Welcome Message: ----------------------------------------

[log in to unmask] is an open discussion list for non-commercial
announcements of general interest to the ACM SIGCHI community.
It replaces the [log in to unmask] list.

If you want help with the list, you can send mail to:
        [log in to unmask]
but most requests can be handled by [log in to unmask]

This is a open subscription list with open postings and review.

As one of the larger SIGCHI lists, it is a good place to look
for email addresses of people you want to find.
For example, to find a person at the XYZ Corporation,
you could send a SCAN request to [log in to unmask]:
        scan chi-announcements xyz.com
Subscribers have the option of concealing their identities:
        set chi-announcements conceal
