The Interactive Neurorehabilitation Lab at Virginia Tech invites applications for a post-doctoral research position in computer vision and machine learning to work on an exciting project developing home-based interactive systems for unsupervised stroke therapy. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to develop new computer vision techniques and machine learning algorithms in a challenging, impactful, and fast moving research space. The position will be affiliated with the Interactive Neurorehabilitation (INR) Lab at Virginia Tech led by Dr. Aisling Kelliher and Dr. Thanassis Rikakis. The INR lab is an interdisciplinary research group with faculty and students from Computer Science, Bioengineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Design. The successful candidate will work with the INR lab on ongoing collaborations with Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, Emory Rehabilitation Hospital, Arizona State University, and Carnegie Mellon University. This is a 1 year, full-time non-tenure track position consisting of an initial appointment for one year with an anticipated renewal for a second year. Key requirements include a doctoral degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field, a strong research and publication track record, and experience with the design, implementation, and evaluation of interactive systems
