As per the request by authors, the submission deadline has been extended to 12 Apr, 2023.

Call for Paper “AniNex: The 5th Workshop on Next Generation Computer Animation Techniques”

For more information about the workshop, please visit:

The 5th AniNex Workshop on Next Generation Computer Animation Techniques aims to bring together researchers from various fields to present and discuss their latest findings on interdisciplinary approaches to computer animation. The 5th AniNex workshop will be collocated with the 36th International Conference on Computer Animation and Social Agents (CASA 2023). The conference will take place in Limassol, Cyprus from May 29-31, 2023. Selected top-ranking papers will be recommended for post conference publication in esteemed journals, The Visual Computer (SCI) of Springer, Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds (SCI) of Wiley, and Computers & Graphics (SCI) of Springer. The journal publication of the recommended papers will be contingent upon significant enhancements made to the paper and the successful outcome of another round of review.

The AniNex workshop aims to disseminate state-of-the-art research related to computer animation, with a focus on advanced physics-based animation, e.g. complex multi-phase fluids modelling, and machine learning solutions for digital content generation.

The workshop will cover advanced techniques and approaches in the following areas:

  *   Advances in physically based animation, fluid simulation, deformation modelling, collision handling, natural environment modelling, GPU-based modelling and simulation, and rendering;
  *   Machine learning and its applications in computer graphics, including computer vision, motion data retrieval and analysis, facial expression and emotion modelling, information visualisation and natural language processing;
  *   Virtual reality and augmented reality applications, including hardware and software support, and novel human-computer interaction design and application;
  * Other advanced computer animation techniques.

Submission documents must be anonymous (they do not contain author names). Paper submission format follows the same guidance as the conference and the template is available via the link:

All submissions will be done through the Easy Chair Submissions page (AniNex Workshop track):
