                                     CALL FOR PAPERS
                         THIRD INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON GROUPWARE
                                          CRIWG'97
                                   1 - 3 October 1997, Madrid, Spain
                              Sponsored by CYTED-RITOS Research Network

                                    WORKSHOP FOCUS

The CRIWG workshops have been motivated by recent advances in computer-supported cooperative work, and by the need for CSCW to meet
the challenges of new application areas. This workshop aims to provide a forum for CSCW academic researchers and profesionals to exchange
experiences and to engage in discussions of the research issues in designing, building, and using CSCW applications.

Researchers can report these experiencies to CRIWG through: technical papers, project reports and prototype demostrations. All topics related to
the CSCW area, including those on social aspects of groupware, are welcome.

Given the specialized nature of the workshop, and to allow for a rich interaction among participants, participation will be limited to 35 people, and
will be restircted to those making presentations or by special invitations.

                        IMPORTANT DATES and SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Electronic submission of papers, in English, up to 15 pages,is due on April 1st,1997.

Submission can be made by:

          ftp kiliwa.cicese.mx, login : anonymous

          into directory: pub/criwg97

          followed by a message to [log in to unmask] with the subject: CRIWG97 SUBMISSION

In the message, indicate the name of the paper and authors. Use the last name of the first author for the filename. Postscript submissions are
expected.

Proposals for prototype demostrations should consist of the description of the software and its collaborative features. Screen dumps of relevant
user interfaces are encouraged. Indicate the equipment required for demostrations.

     Notification of acceptance will be on July 4th.
     Final versions are due on August 15
     The workshop: 1 - 3 October.
