Augmented Humans 2021; 22 - 24 February 2021; Rovaniemi, Finland

 <http://augmented-humans.org/> https://augmented-humans.org/

The submission deadline for long and short papers is November 21st, 2020 and January 22nd, 2021 for posters, demos, and design exhibitions (AoE).

The Augmented Humans (AHs) International Conference will be held in Rovaniemi, Finland on 22 - 24 February 2021, focusing on technologies, design, and studies of physical, cognitive, and perceptual human augmentations. The notion of augmented humans – in plural, not singular – emphasizes a move towards technologies that enhance not only individual capabilities but also have the potential for impact on societal scale. This idea of augmenting the human intellect has a long tradition, as this term was coined by Douglas Engelbart in 1962, but it becomes now realistic to create usable technologies that augment not only one's cognitive abilities but also bodily abilities.

INTEREST TO BE PART OF THE PROGRAM COMMITTEE

If you are interested to be part of the program committee, please email the program chairs. We expect for members in the program committee a demonstrated expertise in the field, e.g. by having co-authored several papers in this area.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE SERIES

After 10 years of the augmented human conference, there was some disagreement of how to move the conference forward. As this dispute was not resolved, this resulted in two AH2020 (AH2020 and AHs 2020) conferences to be held in 2020. One (the described in this email, organized by the steering and conference committee below) will be held in Rovaniemi, Finland. The other one (please see this <https://www.augmented-human.com/> https://www.augmented-human.com/) will be held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Many of the people involved in this conference have shaped as conference and program chairs and authors the field and the previous augment human conference. As in the augmented humans conference in previous years, all accepted submissions will be published in the ACM Digital Library (acceptance pending) as a volume in its International Conference Proceedings Series with ISBN.
