The celebratory Tenth Anniversary Issue of User Modeling and
User-Adapted Interaction (UMUAI) has just appeared in print and is
available free of charge at the publisher's and the editor's journal
web sites:

UMUAI provides an interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of
new research results on interactive computer systems that can be
adapted or adapt themselves to their current users, and on the role
of user models in the adaptation process. The journal has so far
published around 150 papers totalling about 3500 journal pages.
Upcoming special issues for 2001 and 2002 include

- User Modeling and Adaptation in Affective Computing  (Guest editor:

- Empirical Evaluation of User Models  (Guest editors: David Chin and
Martha Crosby)
