Colleagues

ACM members should have received an email ballot to vote for their
favorite classic books. Among those nominated are Ben Shneiderman's
"Software Psychology", Apple's "MacIntosh Human Interface
Guidelines", Newell and Simon's "Human Problem Solving", and Ted
Nelson's "Computer Lib/Dream Machines".

These are classics in the history of HCI. Ben's book was the first
HCI research monograph. I'd encourage you to vote for these (you can
vote for 20 books). Your vote would help call attention to HCI as an
important topic for ACM members.

Please act soon as the deadline for voting is January 23.

Jack
