Dear colleagues,

Within the Erasmus Mundus PhD Programme "Interactive and Cognitive Environments" (ICE, www.icephd.org), an IEEE sponsored summer school on Networked Embedded Systems will be organized from September 3-7 2011 in Klagenfurt. Austria  (http://ice.aau.at/ss-2011/). 

The program covers presentations and discussions of research topics in the area of networked and embedded systems, featuring among others:

- Ian Akyildiz (Georgia Tech) on "Nano Networks",
- Andrea Cavallaro (QM University of London) on "Camera Networks",
- Carlo Regazzoni (Genua) on "Data Fusion" 
- Kai Römer (Lübeck) on "Sensor Networks" 
- Oliver Vitouch (Klagenfurt) on "How Attention Drives Perception"

The summer school is open also for interested persons outside the ICE programme. Deadline for applications is May 15, 2011 – cf.  http://ice.aau.at/ss-2011/.
