International Workshop on Internationalisation of Products and Systems
2002
July 11-13, 2002
Austin, Texas
Product Developers, Global Marketing Managers, Researchers, Academics,
HF and Usability Specialists
SUBMISSION DATE: 1 FEBRUARY 2002
The convergence between telecommuni-cations, information technology,
and more conventional electronic products such as radio/TV presents a
major opportunity for the development of international products.
The IWIPS workshop series aims to pro-mote awareness of the problems
facing in-ternational industry, and their implications for research
and development. In addition to the presentation of papers and case
studies, as well as the availability of tutorials, the workshop
provides a venue for meetings, discussion of results and cooperation
at an international level. The Workshop is organ-ized to maximize the
exchange of informa-tion and ideas among a delegation from across the
globe. Participants will leave with more knowledge and skills in the
area of product and software internationalisation, and a network of
colleagues who are fo-cused on the issues that globalisation creates
for the design and production of prod-ucts and systems.
The conference theme is "Globalisation - Ahead of the Curve".
We encourage those of you who may be able to share your "leading edge"
experiences with technology as it pertains to global commerce and
security. What are the practices and focus for launching this new
technology?
