There will be a doctoral consortium (DC) at the Fourth Annual
Conference on Communities and Technologies (C&T 09).
A DC is a workshop in which advanced PhD students present their
dissertation research to a group including both peers and faculty/
professionals. The faculty/professionals act as advisors toward the
whole group, encouraging, coaching and provoking discussion. The
group tries to provide constructive criticism and guidance. DCs can
be very useful to the students, and interesting for the advisors.
The DC will occur the day before the conference begins (June 24) -
the same day as the workshops. It will include 8 students and up to
four advisors.
