The University of Melbourne offers scholarships to outstanding students from Australia and abroad wishing to pursue higher degrees by research in the field of HCI, Interaction Design and Usability. They are the Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and the Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS).

Students with a background in HCI, information systems or cognate disciplines are encouraged to apply. For Australian applicants we require either at least a 2A honours or a research masters degree.  International students will be considered on the basis of equivalent standing of prior studies.

Australian and New Zealand citizens should follow these 2 steps to apply:
1)      contact the School of Graduate Studies for PhD application forms and further information: call (03) 8344 8599, send email to [log in to unmask] or visit http://www.gradstudies.unimelb.edu.au/.
2)      contact the Scholarships Office for an APA/MRS application form: call (03)  8344 8747 or visit http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/scholarships/

International students should contact the International Admissions office for a prospectus and application form: call (+61 3) 8344 4505 or visit http://www.unimelb.edu.au/international/.  International students will be considered automatically for a scholarship if they are eligible and receive an unconditional offer of a place.
