The Deadline for the 1st Workshop on Full-Body and Multisensory Experience in Ubiquitous Interaction is approaching (June 15).

A deadline extension is possible upon email request at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

The workshop will be held in conjunction with UbiComp 2015 http://ubicomp.org/ubicomp2015/

Call for Paper
**Important dates**

· June 15, Submission Deadline

· July 1, Notification of Acceptance

· July 10, Camera ready Deadline

· September 8, Workshop

**Call for Participation**
In the ubiquitous computing era, where people can seamlessly access with huge quantity of digital information, most interactions are still performed through graphical user interfaces, which limit the number of human senses and abilities involved. This workshop aims at discussing the rich possibilities that the body offers us to experience the external world and the possibilities that arise for the interaction designers when these often ignored abilities are taken into account. In particular, the workshop will focus on the rediscovery of the five senses, either alone or in a multimodal combination and of the perceptual-motor abilities of our body. We encourage the participation of young practitioners but also more experienced researchers from different backgrounds (design, engineering, computing, arts, social sciences, neurosciences, ergonomics, etc.), with previous experience in multisensory interaction, full-body interaction or embodied cognition. During the workshop, participants will have the possibilities to explore and rediscover their sensorimotor abilities and to the design innovative interaction experiences together with researchers with different backgrounds.
Workshop participants are invited to submit 4 to 6 page position papers in the SIGCHI Extended Abstract format that cover one or more of the following topics:

· Innovative technologies and applications for interacting through unconventional senses and motor abilities

· Theory and ground knowledge on multisensory experiences

· Embodied cognition theory and applications

· Olfactory, gustatory, tactile and spatial-audio interactions

· Full-body interactions

· Bodily play interaction

· Gestural interaction

· Five sense experiences

· Sensory emotional design

· Multisensory branding

· Multisensory games and media

The position papers will be included in the ACM Digital Library and supplemental proceedings of the conference.
Please, note that as requirement to participating at the workshop at least one author of each accepted position paper must attend the workshop and all participants must register for the workshop and for at least one day of the conference.

**Venue**
The Workshop on Full-Body and Multisensory Experience in Ubiquitous Interaction will be held in conjunction with the ACM 2015 International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2015) and the International Symposium on Wearable Computers (ISWC 2015) at the Knowledge Capital Congrès Convention Center, inside Grand Front Osaka, Japan.
