Dear colleagues
Call for participation - ECCE 2019 - 31st European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics
10-13 September 2019, Belfast, Northern Ireland
Go to http://ecce2019.eace.net for submission and registration links
*** Early bird registration ends 5 pm 1 July 2019 ***
ECCE 2019 is the 31st annual conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics (EACE). This leading conference in human-computer interaction, human factors design, and cognitive engineering offers an unparalleled opportunity for both researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experiences from a variety of domains.
This year we have around 40 papers, primarily in single-track format. Our workshop on 'Rethinking Cognitive Ergonomics' is on 10th September as is our Doctoral Consortium with around 10 early-stage PhD researchers presenting and interacting with two academic mentors.
Our special theme for ECCE in 2019 is ‘Designing for Cognition’ and we have three great keynotes this year. John McCarthy, University College Cork: "Nurturing belonging in design", Nadia Berthouze, University College London: "Look at my body ... what does it tell you?", and Alan Dix, Computational Foundry, Swansea University: "Cognition as Material: personality prostheses and other stories".
The draft programme is available here: https://www.ulster.ac.uk/conference/european-conference-on-cognitive-ergonomics
The conference takes place at Ulster University’s Belfast Campus, in the heart of Belfast city centre. Belfast is well connected with 2 airports and given the conference venue is located in the city centre, the attractions and facilities are within walking distance. See www.visitbelfast.com for more information. Visitors also commonly travel via Dublin Airport, where there is a regular direct shuttle to Belfast city centre.
Conference Chairs: Prof Maurice Mulvenna, Dr Raymond Bond
