Postdoctoral Research Positions in Social NUI at the University of
Melbourne

The University of Melbourne seeks two highly talented postdoctoral
researchers to work on the Social aspects of Natural User Interfaces
(NUI). The successful candidates will be researchers in the newly
established Centre for Social NUI, a collaboration between the University
of Melbourne and Microsoft Research
(http://www.socialnui.unimelb.edu.au/). Social NUI researchers will
address new forms of human-computer interactions offered by emerging
technologies beyond those with keyboard and mouse, in particular those
supporting human gesture and voice.
The two positions are full-time (fixed-term) position available to 31
December 2016. Applicants must have a PhD in Human Computer Interaction
(HCI), Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Natural User Interfaces
(NUI) or an appropriate equivalent. Successful candidates will have a high
quality research track record in HCI/CSCW/NUI, and excellent skills in
written and oral communication.

international university with a tradition of excellence in teaching and
research. The Social NUI centre sits within the Department of Computing &
Information Systems (http://www.cis.unimelb.edu.au). Successful candidates
will also work closely with colleagues in the Interaction Design
