We invite individuals interested in HCI research to apply to the Ph.D.
program in Computing and Information Sciences at the Rochester Institute of
Technology (RIT). RIT is expanding its efforts in HCI with new faculty
members and infrastructure. Our researchers, projects and labs are
described in more detail below and at http://hci-research.rit.edu . The
program offers competitive support packages, including tuition, stipend,
and health insurance. The application deadline is January 15, 2015; to
apply, visit http://tinyurl.com/rit-phd .

Faculty-led research projects in the Golisano College of Computing and
Information Sciences investigate wearable and mobile computing, digital
fabrication, collaboration technologies, eye-tracking, and accessibility.
RIT has a long history of conducting research on accessibility and
inclusion for people with hearing loss, autism, intellectual disability,
dementia, motor impairments, and vision loss. In fact, RIT is home of the
National Technical Institute of the Deaf (NTID), which provides deaf and
hard-of-hearing students with outstanding state-of-the-art technical and
professional education programs.

The PhD program in Computing and Information Sciences at RIT offers
comprehensive instruction across computer science, interactive games and
media, software engineering, computing security, and information sciences
and technologies. At the same time, the program enables students to work
intensively on research related to their interests. For further details on
the program, faculty, and admissions requirements visit
http://phd.gccis.rit.edu .

The Ph.D. Admissions Committee will review applications submitted by
January 15, 2015. Decisions are expected to be made by April 15, 2015.
After that date, applications will be reviewed on a space available basis.

You can apply online at http://tinyurl.com/rit-phd .
