We would like to inform you that the deadline for submission of papers/demos
was extended toFebruary 17, 2019.
STIMHA’19 “Smart Technologies and Interactive Media for Health Applications” at
the 5th Experiment@International Conference - exp. at’19, that will be held on
June 12-14, 2019, in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal, has the technical
support of IEEE.
STIMHA’19 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners and highlight the
latest developments in embedded technologies, sensors and interactive systems in
health applications. In the last years, there has been increasing interest in
the application in the health domain of embedded systems, of novel sensing
technologies together with entertainment technologies and interactive media to
visualize and interpret health data, to allow individualized treatments, to
facilitate learning motivation, or to provide patients with enjoyable coaching
systems for homework exercises, just to name a few examples. For instance, the
uses of Gamification, Virtual Reality and Information and Communication
Technologies (ICTs) are exponentially increasing in the field of rehabilitation,
mental health and functional fitness, with clinical results that prove their
effectiveness. This special track invites authors to submit contributions on
concepts, applications, techniques or environments where smart systems and/or
interaction design play a central role in improving health practices at all
levels.

Topics of Interest (not limited to):
· Virtual and enhanced environments
· Balance, posture and mobility
· Input devices, sensors and actuators
· Motor rehabilitation
· Serious Games and Exergames
· Clinical assessment
· Cognitive Stimulation
· Biosignals, Neuroimaging and Biodevices
· Sensory impairment

Conference Language, Review Process and Publications
The official language of the Conference is English. The articles and extended
abstracts (demos) will be under double blind peer review process. Accepted
papers and demos will be published in electronic format and will be submitted
for acceptance into the IEEE Xplore® paper database. IEEE Xplore® will index
accepted papers and demos meeting IEEE requirements of content and format. A
number of selected, high-quality, papers will be invited for publication in
international journals.

Submission
Articles (full papers with 4-6 pages) and extended abstracts (demos with 2
pages) submitted to exp.at’19 will follow the EasyChair platform.
