Dear HCI colleague,

We are conducting a study entitled Investigating the Use of Emerging Interactions Frameworks in Education. The goal of the study is to examine and understand the educational impact of research frameworks.

We would like to invite you to complete a short survey, which will take 10-15 minutes. You can access the survey here: https://cuhealth.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_003tXMgQWBxQCbj.

We are looking for faculty members or instructors that teach a course in the field of Human Computer Interaction, with a specific interest for lecturers who discuss the topic of emerging interaction techniques. Participants must speak English (though the class they teach can be in another language).

This research does not involve any professional or emotional risks, and your participation is completely voluntary. The survey form does not collect names or IP addresses. Participants may choose to provide identifiable data by answering certain questions (e.g. submitting a copy of their course outline). These questions are all optional. Identifiable information will not be use in our analysis or subsequent research steps. There is no compensation for participating in this 15 minute study.

You can withdraw from the study up until submitting your responses. The survey does not collect identifying information, such as names, email addresses or IP addresses, so if you choose to withdraw after you have submitted your responses, we will not be able to identify and withdraw them.

This ethics protocol for this research was reviewed by the Carleton University Research Ethics Board, which provided clearance number #108443 to carry out the research If you have any ethical concerns with the study, please contact Dr. Andy Adler, Chair, Carleton University Research Ethics Board-B (by phone at 613-520-2600 ext. 4085 or via email at [log in to unmask]).
