=====================================================
5th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Internet of Things (CCIOT 2020) http://www.cciot.org
22-24 September 2020
University of Ryukyu, Okinawa, Japan
=====================================================

Supported by IEEE Internet of Things, IEEE ComSoc Internet of Things, ACM Singapore Chapter, and IPv6 FORUM

SCOPE

The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for the scientists to present their latest research results and perspectives for future work in the IoT and Cloud Computing field. CCIOT 2020 will include presentations in form of contributed papers, poster sessions, and state of the art lectures by invited keynote speakers.

Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable system resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet. Cloud computing relies on sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economies of scale, similar to a public utility. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to inter-operate within the existing Internet infrastructure.

IoT is generally characterized by real world and small Things, limited capacity, constrained devices and the consequential issues such as less reliability, security and privacy. Cloud computing on the other hand deals mainly with virtual world and has unlimited capabilities in terms of storage and processing power. Thus cloud and IoT are the main complementary aspects of the future Internet. IoT can benefit from the unlimited capabilities and resources of cloud computing. Similarly, cloud can benefit from IoT by extending its scope to deal with real world things in a more distributed and dynamic manner.
