** CALL FOR POSTERS AND DEMOS - IEEE SECON 2020**
Como (Italy), June 22-25, 2020
https://secon2020.ieee-secon.org
Submission deadline: 10 April 2020

IEEE SECON 2020 will include a poster and a demo session to provide a unique forum to exchange innovative research ideas, recent results, and share experiences among researchers and practitioners in wireless networks, mobile systems and the Internet of Things.

Looking beyond current sensing, communication, and networking paradigms, IEEE SECON continues to emphasize pioneering cross-disciplinary work as its signature footprint in the contemporary research landscape.

One of the key goals of this conference is to foster collaboration between industry and academia. Hence, participation of researchers/developers from industry and posters or demos reporting joint work between industry and academia are especially encouraged. Submissions could address any (but not limited to) of the following:
+ Upcoming research challenges, future directions and works in progress including recent research results and prototypes
+ Demonstrations of new applications and techniques
+ Practical implementations, research testbeds and living labs
+ Industrial and commercial developments
+ Novel hardware and tools
+ Public-private and industrial-academic collaboration initiatives

Demos and posters are solicited for any of the research topics relevant to the main paper track of SECON and can be any (but not limited to) of the following:
+ Wireless and mobile sensing systems in challenging media (e.g., underground, underwater, space)
+ Internet of Things, Nano-Things and Bio-Nano-Things
+ New communication/networking paradigms
+ Machine intelligence for sensing, communication, and/or networking
+ Unmanned aerial systems; robotic wireless networks
+ Wearable computing and networking
+ Social media exploitation for sensing and dissemination
+ Next-generation applications enabled via wireless, such as virtual/augmented reality, autonomous driving, smart cities
+ Low-power and energy limited sensing and communications
+ Measurement of wireless and sensor systems, and novel experimental testbeds
+ Security, privacy, and trustworthiness of mobile, wireless and sensor systems
+ Testing platforms for city-scale evaluation of new sensing systems

Submissions for posters and demos should follow the IEEE conference 2-column template and have a minimum font size of 10 points. The documents must contain the authors' names, affiliations, and contact information as well as specify the designated corresponding author. Submissions will be evaluated mainly based on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, exchange of ideas and promote collaborations.

Poster submission guidelines: Submissions should be a two-page short paper/abstract describing the main contributions and merits, reporting on initial results and discussing challenges.

Demo submission guidelines: Submissions should not exceed three pages in length. The first two pages should describe the main contributions, merits, results and the demo itself while the third page should describe the requirements of the demo such as:
+ Equipment to be used;
+ Space needed and setup time required;
+ Additional facilities needed, e.g., power and Internet/wireless access. All additional equipment/needs are subject to budget approval.
Authors of accepted posters and demos will have a space to display their posters/demos, as well as to describe their work in discussions with interested attendees. Demo authors should also bring along a poster describing their ideas and setup. A Best Demo/Poster Award will be given to a high-impact submission selected by a committee, taking into account inputs from conference participants. The abstract of the accepted posters/demos will appear in conference proceedings, under the IEEE Communications Society policy that all accepted IEEE SECON 2020 posters and/or demos require at least a one-day registration.

Posters and Demos can be submitted via email:
