Call for Submissions: ISWC 2007 Tutorial and Workshop Proposals
===============================================================
Web CFP: http://iswc.net/tutorials_workshops

ISWC 2007, the eleventh annual IEEE International Symposium on
Wearable Computers, will bring together researchers, product vendors,
fashion designers, textile manufacturers, users, and all other
interested parties to share information and advances in wearable
computing.

We invite you to submit a Tutorial or Workshop proposal and share your
wearable-related knowledge with other conference attendees through
this venue. Tutorials and workshops are half-day events. A tutorial
is an intensive course on a special topic and is intended to enhance
the skills and broaden the perspective of their attendees. They should
be designed to introduce a rigorous framework for learning a new area
or to provide advanced technical training in an area. Workshops differ
from tutorials in that they may include a wider range of activities,
such as working position groups, hands-on experiences with
hardware/software provided, or standards efforts. Both the Tutorials
and Workshops will be held on the last day of the conference -
Saturday, October 13th.

A two-page tutorial or workshop proposal should include a clear
description of the topic area, objectives, and the intended audience
(experience level and prerequisites). Tutorial proposals should also
include a 200-word abstract, a topical outline of the content, and a
summary of the qualifications of the instructor(s). Be sure to include
the contact name, affiliation, address, telephone number, electronic
mail address, and associated URL for each instructor or organizer.

Please submit proposals to the Workshop and Tutorial Chairs, Kent
Lyons and Kristof Van Laerhoven, by email to [log in to unmask] no
later than July 1, 2007.

Call for Papers: ISWC 2007 Student Colloquium
=============================================
Web CFP: http://iswc.net/student_colloquium

Overview
--------
The purpose of the colloquium is to offer researchers (in particular
students) who are new to the wearable/mixed and augmented reality
fields an opportunity to present their ideas and research plans and
get feedback from the community.

Paper Submission
----------------
To this end you are invited to submit an abstract of max 3 pages
including all figures and bibliography by July 30th to
[log in to unmask] All abstracts will be peer reviewed on the basis
of the originality, soundness, and scientific merit of the research
goals, the quality of the presentation, and related work. In addition
the reviewers will judge whether a plausible plan and appropriate
methods are proposed for conducting the planned research. Since we
aim to foster the presentation of new ideas including newly starting
PhD projects results of experimental or theoretical evaluation is not
a prerequisite.

The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts on the basis of
originality, soundness and scientific merit of the research goals, and
the quality of its presentation.

Accepted contributions will be invited to take part in a posters
session during the conference. The posters will be evaluated by
experts and the best contribution will be awarded a best paper award.
The abstracts will be published in dedicated proceedings that will be
distributed during the conference and will be electronically made
available to the public.
