=== TOPIC ===
Body-worn displays are getting available in a large variety on the consumer market. On the one hand, we can see displays worn on the head to immerse the user into a virtual reality or to augment information into their field of view. On the other hand, we can see displays being worn at the user’s wrist or other body parts to convey information to the user or bystanders. These novel devices challenge the MobileHCI community to address research questions for body-worn displays in mobile contexts.
The goals of the workshop are to:
(1) discuss how body worn displays could change mobile HCI
(2) ideating radical new interaction ideas (in a hands-on rapid prototyping session)
(3) construct a roadmap of future research topics for body-worn displays

Topics include but are not limited to:
- Interaction techniques for wearable displays
- Smartwatch applications
- Smartglass applications
- Interaction and feedback concepts for (mobile) VR HMDs
- Collaboration concepts for (mobile) VR HMDs
- Wearable display ecosystems
- Low resolution wearable displays
- Tactile wearable displays
- Haptic feedback for (mobile) AR/VR HMDs

=== Workshop Format and Submissions ===
We are happy to bring together researchers to explore and discuss novel challenges and opportunities in head-worn displays. The workshop will be a full day including a keynote and hands-on ideation session where the participants will “sketch” new interaction concepts through rapid prototyping.

We invite position papers of 2 to 4 pages in length. The paper should present research results, work in progress, experience reports or describe demos or prototypes focused on the workshop topic. Papers should clearly state the (expected) contribution, describe the goal of the work as well as cite related work. Papers undergo a double-blind review process. Anonymized papers should be submitted in MobileHCI 2016 Extended Abstracts format using the electronic submission system available on the website (http://projects.hcilab.org/mbwd/)

We highly encourage bringing a demonstration of your prototype if available and presenting it at the Workshop!

Papers will be available on the workshop website and published in the ACM DL. All workshop participants must enroll in both the workshop and the main conference. For each accepted position paper, at least one co-author must register.
