CALL FOR PAPERS: HOW CAN HCI IMPROVE SOCIAL MEDIA DEVELOPMENT?

You are invited to submit a paper to the NordiCHI 2008 workshop "How can HCI improve social media development?" in Lund. Sweden. 

Workshop date: October 19. 

Submission deadline: September 10.

The workshop theme is social media development from a HCI perspective, targeting both researches and practitioners. The workshop will be open to both presenting and non-presenting participants, and will include time for discussions in addition to paper presentations. Authors are encouraged to focus on one or more of three core issues:
1. Evolving patterns of social media use, and consequences for user requirements
2. Social media design
3. User-centered evaluation of social media applications.

Submitted papers should be approximately 6 pages long, and be formatted according to the Springer LNCS template springer_lncs_typeinst.doc <http://www.recordproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/springer_lncs_typeinst.doc>   (Please note: The LNCS template pages are smaller than A4)

Submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two peers. Accepted papers will be published in an ISBN-numbered workshop proceeding, which will be made available both in printed and electronic format.
