*IEEE 3DUI 2015 Contest: Virtual Musical Instruments!*
The details for the contest for IEEE 3DUI 2015 have been posted! Below is a
short blurb. Full details can be found here: http://3dui.org/contest
As mentioned in the Call for Papers, we are encouraging the community to
move beyond the typical low-level tasks that have been the focus of much of
our research over the past decade, and to consider higher-level tasks. This
is one example of this shift.
*Instructions*
This year, the IEEE 3DUI 2015 Symposium will hold the 6th annual 3DUI
Contest - *Virtual Musical Instruments*. It is open to anyone interested in
3D User Interfaces (3DUIs), from researchers to students, enthusiasts, and
professionals. The purpose of the contest is to stimulate innovative and
creative solutions to challenging 3DUI problems, and this year the focus
will be on the design of novel musical instruments, and techniques for
playing them using 3DUIs. 3DUI 2015 will be co-located with IEEE Virtual
Reality. Due to the recent explosion of affordable and portable 3D devices,
this year's contest will again be judged live at 3DUI. Contestants are
required to bring their systems for live judging for attendees to
experience them.
*Please consider taking part in this interactive event!*
