Workshop Aims and scope
------------------------
The goal of this workshop is to discuss existing research and future directions related to social intelligence for well-being and care. This includes both theoretical and applied research in the realms of interactive systems design. This workshop will focus on:

1. Challenges of designing for socially intelligent interactive systems, especially for well-being & care.
What theories and models of social intelligence exist? What potential positive and negative effects will social intelligence have on user-system interaction? How can socially intelligent interactive systems account for the multiple contexts of care and well-being? How can social intelligence be incorporated into existing approaches to interactive systems design?

2. The application of social intelligence to interactive systems design, well-being and care.
How can systems designed to support well-being and care benefit from social intelligence? How will user-system interaction benefit from a socially intelligent approach to design? What ethical and privacy issues arise when developing interactive systems with social intelligence? How will user-system interaction be affected by interactive systems with social intelligence?

Potential Participants
-----------------------
This workshop aims to bring together a community of researchers, designers and practitioners from HCI and the social sciences working in the areas of social intelligence, well-being and care. To ensure that the workshop is beneficial to participants, with tangible outputs, it is anticipated that there will be no more than 20 participants.
