HUC'99 International Symposium on Handheld and Ubiquitous Computing
September 27-29, 1999, Karlsruhe, Germany
in cooperation with ACM and GI


The deadline for submitting papers to HUC'99 is approaching: 30 April!


We solicit both long (10-12 pages) and short papers (up to 6 pages)
which have to be submitted electronically as PDF, PostScript or Word
document. For topics of interest and submission details see

All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 independent members of
the programme committee, and accepted papers will be published by
Springer-Verlag as Lecture Notes in Computer Science.

If you can't meet the paper deadline, consider a poster due by 30 June,
and check out the HUC99 workshops, which solicit contributions to topics
of special interest: http://www.teco.edu/workshops.html

There is also good news for students: we will have travel grants
available for students from overseas, and we offer free attendance and a
place to sleep to students who participate as volunteers. Details will
become available at http://www.teco.edu/huc/volunteers.html
