*The First International Workshop on Narrative Extraction from Texts
(Text2Story 2018)* will be held on March 26th in Grenoble, France under the
umbrella of ECIR’18 (40th European Conference on Information Retrieval).
Text2Story will feature the presentation of 6 papers, a poster session, 2
keynote speakers (Eric Gaussier and Udo Kruschwitz) and a slot for
demonstrations.



*KEYNOTE SPEAKERS*

The program of Text2Story will feature two high-profile keynote speakers:


· Eric Gaussier, Professor, University of Grenoble Alps, *Word embeddings,
information retrieval and textual entailment*

· Udo Kruschwitz, Professor, University of Essex, *Users2Story - On the
Importance of Understanding Searchers’ Information Needs*
