MobileHCI 2017 Call for Workshop Proposals (due February 23rd)
Workshop date: 4th September 2016, Vienna, Austria.
http://mobilehci.acm.org/

We would like to encourage you to submit a workshop proposal to MobileHCI 2017.

Workshops bring together groups of participants to discuss, design and build future mobile technologies. Organising a workshop is a great opportunity to move the field forward and to build a community.

For 2017 we are particularly interested in far future focused proposals that involve participants in a hands-on way to collaborate and build new technology.

Full details can be found at: http://mobilehci.acm.org/2017/workshops.html

Important Dates
• Proposal submission deadline (for organisers): February 23rd 2017
• Proposal notification (for organisers): March 16th
• Position paper deadline (for workshop participants): May 5th
• Position paper notification (for workshop participants): June 9th
• Workshop day: September 4th

For Workshop Organisers
Please submit your workshop proposal using the SIGCHI extended abstracts format via PCS (https://precisionconference.com/~sigchi). Submissions should be four pages or less, detailing your goals for the workshop, how you plan to run the workshop, and any planned outcomes.

Preference will be given to workshops that involve visions for the future of mobile HCI and/or hands-on activities. Accepted workshop proposals will be published in the Mobile HCI Adjunct Proceedings.

Organisers of accepted workshops are responsible for promoting the workshop, handling submissions and selecting participants. We also encourage organisers to set up a webpage for the workshop to provide further information, hold position papers and publicise the workshop.

For Workshop Participants
The list of accepted workshops will be released on March 16th at http://mobilehci.acm.org/2017/workshops.html. Workshop participants submit position papers to the workshop organisers, and these are peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. You do not need to submit a position paper to attend a workshop, but it is highly recommended. Position papers will not be published in the Mobile HCI Adjunct Proceedings.
