Building on the success of the 2012 event, we are pleased to announce the call for posters, demos and videos for the 2nd International Symposium on Pervasive Displays. This event will take place at Google’s Mountain View campus and will include a keynote address by Prof. Saul Greenberg on Proxemic Interactions: Displays and Devices that Respond to Social Distance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The poster, demo and video tracks present an opportunity to publish late-breaking results, technical descriptions, concepts and visions, smaller research contributions, works-in-progress and student projects in a concise and visible format. Accepted posters and demos will be displayed in a designated poster / demo session, providing presenters with an opportunity to engage in discussion with other attendees around their research. Accepted videos will be allocated a short presentation as part of the main program, providing presenters with an opportunity to introduce and show their video to other attendees.

We welcome posters, demos and videos covering all aspects of digital displays including, but not limited to:
 * Novel technologies and techniques
 * Real world deployments and experiences
 * Applications and domain specific uses of pervasive displays
 * New approaches to interaction and interface design for pervasive displays
 * Approaches and support for large scale display networks
 * Concept and visions for the future of public displays and their use
 * Architectures and evaluations
 * Formative studies
 * Content design

However we encourage submissions covering any aspect of digital displays, ranging from technology, through to usage and experiences.

POSTER SUBMISSIONS
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Authors are required to submit an abstract and draft poster. Poster abstracts should be a maximum of two pages in ACM format, clearly describing the research questions addressed and their contribution to the pervasive displays community. As the abstract may be viewed without the poster, this should be written to stand alone as an independent submission. Draft posters should be formatted for A1 portrait (594x841mm).

All submissions should not be anonymised and will be reviewed by an international panel of experts in the field of pervasive displays.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
DEMO SUBMISSIONS
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Authors are required to submit an abstract. Demo abstracts should be a maximum of two pages in ACM format, clearly describing the research questions addressed and their contribution to the pervasive displays community. As the abstract may be viewed without the demo, this should be written to stand alone as an independent submission.

Submissions should not be anonymised and will be reviewed by an international panel of experts in the field of pervasive displays.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Authors are required to submit a video with a short summary paper. Video summaries should be no longer than two pages in ACM format, and should concisely describe the content of the video and its intended contribution to the pervasive displays community. Submitted videos should be in a standard format (AVI, MOV, MPG) and their duration should not exceed 10 minutes at most.

An international panel of experts in the field of pervasive displays will review each submission.
