**** Electronic Submission Available via http://www.acm.org/uist ****

**** Full details are available at: http://www.acm.org/uist ****

=====================================

Demonstrations
Peer-reviewed demonstrations show early implementations of novel,
interesting, and important interface concepts and HCI systems. They can
also serve to showcase commercial products not previously described in the
research literature. Demos will be given in parallel at the opening
reception. Demos should be brief so that they can be shown repeatedly
during the demonstration session. Demos with which people can interact are
especially encouraged. A Demo submission should be no more than two ACM
conference pages in length, and accompanying videotape or digital video
file should be at most four minutes long.

Posters ** NEW SUBMISSION CATEGORY **
Reviewed posters are a new category for UIST this year. Posters provide an
interactive forum in which authors can present work to conference attendees
during a special poster session. Posters provide an opportunity to describe
new work or work that is still in progress, and will be more lightly
reviewed than papers or TechNotes. Poster submissions should be in the form
of a two-page paper in ACM format, describing the contents of the poster
and its value to UIST attendees.

=====================================

UIST 2002 is an ACM/SIGCHI event organized by INRIA, the French National
Research Institute in Computer Science. The conference will take place at
the Maison de la Mutualité, in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Paris. The
conference venue is close to the River Seine, a short walk from Notre Dame,
Jardin des Plantes, the Panthéon and the Sorbonne, with easy access to the
rest of Paris via le Métro.
