CALL FOR PARTICIPATIONS
ACM VRST will be held in Monterey, California. Monterey is a famous,
historic resort town, in the close proxiity of Pebble Beach and Carmel.
It is a great place for relaxing and planning your new research ideas.
The VRST technical program consists of high quality technical papers
that are reviewed and selected by an international program committee.
This year's highlights include the following:
One keynote speech and one invited speech:
- Keynote: "Art and Technology in Interface Devices"
by Hiroo Iwata, University of Tsukuba, Japan
- Invited: "Graphics: From a 100x Data Expansion to a 100x Compression
Function"
by Eng Lim Goh, Senior VP and CTO, SGI
There will be fourty papers presentations, including 20 full papers and
21 short papers. Main topics of the presentations include:
- Collaboration and Coorperation
- Human Performance in Virtual Spaces
- Interaction and Design
- Virtual World Content Creation and Management
- Spatial Tracking, Haptics and Hardware
- Virtual People and Scalable Worlds
