The Augmented Humans (AHs) International Conference will be held in
Rovaniemi, Finland on 22 - 24 February 2021, focusing on technologies,
design, and studies of physical, cognitive, and perceptual human
augmentations. The notion of augmented humans emphasizes a move towards
technologies that enhance not only individual capabilities but also have
the potential for impact on societal scale. This idea of augmenting the
human intellect and the physical body has a long tradition, as this term was
coined by Douglas Engelbart in 1962, but it becomes now realistic to create
usable technologies that augment not only one's cognitive abilities but also
bodily abilities.
