HFES invites SIGCHI members to attend the closing plenary address by Bruce "Tog" Tognazzini (Nielsen Norman Group) at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society 50th Annual Meeting. Tog will present "The Next 50 Years" at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 20. His address concludes the Society's week-long conference at the Hilton San Francisco Hotel, 333 O'Farrell Street. The Closing Plenary Session is sponsored by Microsoft.
As HFES begins a year of celebrations leading up to our 50th anniversary in September 2007, we asked Tog to talk about what he thinks the next 50 years will bring:
"At the dawn of the 1990s, my team at Sun successfully predicted the state of technology today, including the explosion of the World Wide Web. Applying the same futurism methodology, I will examine where technology will likely move in the next ten years. Then I will discuss specific predictive methodologies in detail, such as trend analysis, enclave analysis, etc., so you can incorporate future analysis in your own design work."
SPECIAL OFFER:
